ABOUT THIS PROJECT

These Limited Edition offerings go back to 2012 after our second distilled harvest. Regarding that harvest, we distilled 600 tons of agave and quite frankly that’s 1.5x as much agave as a brand that sells internationally (sells WELL internationally). We simply didn’t have the market share for this abundant harvest and so while the blanco from this tequila went on to win Double Gold and much more, we put 18k liters of that blanco in stainless steel and put the rest in barrels.

The picture above represents the two stacks of barrels, ‘Estiba A and Estiba B’. Estiba A, had tequila piled high while Estiba B hand three empty rows of barrels. This is important because it plays a huge factor in how much heat and dissipation barrels 1-43B were exposed to.

Both Estiba A and B had amazing high yield barrels, however the top two rows of Estiba A which were exposed to direct environmental heat, had lower yield, high proof extra anejo.

In total we chose over 40 barrels to be ‘Single Barrels’ and the label is marked with the Barrel# + A or B so you know exactly where in the stack the bottling came from.

For the ‘Small Batches’ we made 6. Two of them used 12 barrels to blend while the other four used 8 in the blend. The blends were produced by me, Arthur Eli Rodriguez and two friends well known in the agave industry for their passion and palate. Their names are Arik and Courtenay Greenleaf Torren and we’re extremely honored to be able to offer these Limited Edition to you Spring of 2023.

10 year stainless steel rested Blanco

Single Estate Agave from the Highlands of Michoacan double distilled and rested in stainless steel for 10 years. Bottled at 90 proof, this spirit has a profile any enthusiast can fall in love with…either neat or in your favorite cocktail.

9 YEAR SMALL BATCH EXTRA ANEJO

Six 8-12 barrel blends mixed to taste and proofed to perfection. Each blend is unique and stands on its own with flavors that are both complex and delectable.

By far the geekiest venture into a single barrel program of this scale. Over 40 barrels chosen for their mic dropping flavor. For these winners, we simply dialed in the strength to find the right balance.
